Santa Margarita Catholic High School is committed to providing a safe, healthy and secure learning environment for students and staff.This web-based incident reporting and incident management platform, called TIPS, is helping us empower students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators and community members to be heard and to anonymously report warning signs and trouble. Information about misconduct, abuse, weapons, or other factors which may be harmful to the school environment should be reported. The goal of TIPS is prevention and to help identify red flags before an incident occurs or escalates.
This platform is not intended to replace direct contact with school administration, but instead to help ensure that concerns are heard and information is received by the proper personnel who can provide an accurate and thorough follow-up. Please feel free to contact any school or the district administrative office with issues or concerns you may have. Together, we can help stop school crises before they happen!

SMCHS recognizes that false accusations can be devastating to an individual and can have long-lasting effects on the entire school community. Any person who knowingly makes false accusations against another person will be appropriately disciplined. Any accusations confirmed to be false will be removed from the falsely accused person's file.
This Awareity/TIPS resource is provided to SMCHS to report various incidents, including possible concerning behavior, mental health/wellness, suicide, child abuse, drug possession/sales, or bullying. While we do offer the option to submit this report anonymously, we cannot guarantee that we can follow-up with you unless we have your name and a way to contact you by either phone or email. Please note that reports are confidential, but this resource is not monitored, after-hours, weekends or on holidays. Awareity/TIPS is monitored during school operational hours and during major school-sponsored events. If you are submitting the form after hours or on a weekend, break or holiday, the report will be reviewed upon the return to school. If there is an urgent need for mental health services or support outside of school hours, please go to the nearest emergency room or contact the Orange County Warmline 24/7 at (714) 991-6412.
